MurattalStatus: Current terms of use

1. Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of Murattal, a product provided by Mirza Ohranovic, an individual operator established in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a postal and service address at N Smailagica, Sarajevo. Murattal is not a separately registered legal entity. These Terms also apply to our public website, murattallock.com.
By creating an account or using Murattal, you agree to these Terms. Sensitive-data consent is requested separately and is not granted merely by accepting these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf. Murattal does not offer accounts to anyone under 16 and has no parental-consent signup flow.
You must provide accurate eligibility and account information. We may suspend or delete an account when we reasonably determine that the eligibility requirement is not satisfied.
3. The service
Murattal provides Qur'an browsing and recitation features, optional progress and listening history, daily listening commitments, and tools that interact with Apple's Screen Time frameworks to help you manage access to applications selected on your device.
Features may vary by country, device, operating-system version, Apple entitlement, provider availability, and account consent state.
4. Authentication and account security
You may sign in using Sign in with Apple or email OTP. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, Apple account, email account, and Murattal session.
Notify hello@murattallock.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
5. Qur'an content and recitations
Qur'an text, translations, audio, names, metadata, and related materials may be provided under licenses or API terms from Quran Foundation, Tanzil, and other approved sources.
Murattal must not modify the Arabic Qur'an text. Translations are interpretations and may differ. Source attribution is displayed where required.
Service availability, reciters, translations, URLs, and cached content can change when a provider changes, withdraws, or limits a resource.
6. Screen Time and app unlocking
Murattal is a self-management tool. It does not guarantee that an app will always remain blocked or become available at a particular moment. Apple controls the Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks used by the iOS app.
Unlock decisions may depend on network connectivity, server verification, device state, operating-system behavior, granted permissions, and a valid signed grant.
Emergency unlock is provided for safety and practical needs. It must not be designed or presented as punishment, guilt, or a guarantee of behavioral change.
7. No professional advice
Murattal provides productivity and Qur'an-listening tools. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, religious-ruling, or emergency advice.
If you are in danger or require urgent help, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- misuse the service or attempt unauthorized access;
- interfere with authentication, event sequencing, signing, rate limits, or provider restrictions;
- use Murattal content in a hateful, extremist, unlawful, sexual, misleading, or disrespectful context;
- scrape, index, redistribute, resell, or build a competing content database from provider responses;
- reverse engineer signed grants to bypass service controls, except where applicable law grants a non-waivable right;
- use the service to harm another person or control another adult's device without authorization;
- submit malicious code or abusive support content.
9. Your content and support submissions
Murattal does not currently provide public user-generated content. If you send a support message, you grant us permission to use it only to provide support, protect the service, and meet legal duties.
Do not include identity documents, payment information, private keys, or unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.
10. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Murattal Privacy Notice. You can use content-only mode without consenting to cloud storage of sensitive Qur'an activity.
11. Changes and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law or provider terms, respond to Apple platform changes, or improve the service.
When a change materially affects paid service, data use, or an important user right, we will provide notice as required by law.
12. Account suspension and termination
You may stop using Murattal or delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated breach of these Terms, security risk, fraud, underage use, legal requirement, or loss of a required provider or platform authorization. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an appeal or support channel.
Termination does not override the Privacy Notice or retention policy. Personal data is deleted according to the applicable deletion workflow.
13. Paid features
Paid features, subscription periods, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, and Apple billing are governed by the purchase screen, applicable App Store terms, and mandatory consumer law.
Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends at the price disclosed for renewal. Any trial converts to the disclosed paid subscription unless canceled before its stated deadline. Eligibility, duration, and any unused-trial treatment are shown with the offer and governed by Apple's applicable terms. Prices and available offers may vary by storefront.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings. Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled through Apple's refund process, subject to your rights under applicable law. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements; it does not replace Apple's billing terms or mandatory consumer rights.
Deleting a Murattal account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. The app must provide a clear route to Apple's subscription-management screen before deletion.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Murattal is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, flawless app blocking, or that use of Murattal will achieve a particular habit, spiritual, productivity, or wellbeing outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
15. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Murattal and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. For direct losses that are not excluded, our total aggregate liability arising from the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Murattal during that period or EUR 100.
No limitation applies where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without removing mandatory consumer protections or rights available in the country where you live.
If you have a complaint, please contact hello@murattallock.com first so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, disputes that cannot be resolved informally are subject to the competent courts in Sarajevo. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in another court where mandatory law gives you that right or from using an available statutory complaint or out-of-court resolution process.
